There is a lot of Life in Death Valley

We all have images of what Death Valley is like – stinking hot and dry weather, where you’re more likely to find the bleached bones of some poor critter seeking water than you are to see a flower in bloom. Of course there is life in Death Valley, but it’s usually fairly sparse. This year, however, the Valley could be experiencing a “super bloom” – a once-in-a-decade time when Death Valley comes to life. Click here to see a video of fields full of flowers bringing life to “the valley of death.” What rare event have you ever experienced?
